Honeycomb is surprisingly easy and super fast to make, you really wouldn’t believe!
This sticky treat is a hit with kids and adults, and looks superb in a cellophane bag tied with ribbon.
If this edible gift is for children, I tend to dip half the honeycomb in chocolate and add some sprinkles to the top.
Happy Holidays Honeycomb
1/2 a cup of Honey
1 tbsp Maple syrup
2 1/2 cups of brown sugar
1 tbsp Bicarbonate Soda
In a large pot (as mixture will increase in size!) pop the honey, maple, and sugar and bring to a rolling boil for 2 minutes. Try not to stir the mixture.
Take off heat and stir the Bicarbonate in quickly. The mixture should foam up triple the size.
Pour onto a baking sheet and leave to set. Once set, break into chunks and seal in an airtight container.
